Washi originated from Japan as a making tape. Did you know “Wa” means Japanese and “Shi” means paper so in simple terms it’s Japanese paper tape. The tape is made from renewable resources such as bamboo, hemp and tree bark.

The tape is not a permanent tape so therefore can be used on a number of surfaces. Stick your children’s artwork to the wall, or your dinner menu to the fridge, roll around a pen or pencil to identify its yours. There is lots of uses for washi.
