Doodlebug Design Horizontal Cards
Inspiration on Day 5 is Doodlebug Design Horizontal Cards. The horizontal layout i don’t seem to make very often as i always feel cards need to stand vertically (no idea why). Using the Doodlebug Design Hey Cupcake and Party Time Collections, i had fun using the 6×6 paper pad, odds and ends and chit chat die cuts. Here are the card designs i used for today’s inspiration.
I used one that was already horizontal (design 2) and one I flipped to become horizontal (design 3). You can see how easy it is just to get some inspiration and you don’t need to stick to the actual card layout .
The one i flipped, I used the Doodlebug Design Hey Cupcake Collection. This design is great for all those left over strips you get when you make cards. There is no need to waste a single bit. The strips are 1 1/2 inches wide to fit a rectangle of 9.7cm x 14 cm and also allow space for a border colour from Kaisercraft card stock (10cm x 14.5cm). Sticking them on a diagonal, forms the pattern you can see.
The second card which i kept to the horizontal layout, you can see i didn’t follow exactly. I couldn’t resist the cute elephant.I had use him!
